The Czech territories provides an affluent system of properly marked trails that squarely covers the entire territory and permits you to research even the outermost regions of country. The Prague - Vienna Greenway is a set up of 100 - year hiking paths connecting Prague, Jindirichuv, Tabor, Znojmo, Slavonice, Vienna and lednice - Valtice. There is one Backbone trail that extends to 470 km besides the Dyje River Valley in South of Moravia and river Vltava Valley in South of Bohemia.
The Greenway offers the surroundings with plentiful music and folk festivals. The Backbone trail commences in Prague's 13th ward's central park and proceeds to the central Bohemia and Tabor where the stretch pursues the river of Luznice all the way through the villages of 'peasant baroque' style of architecture to the city of Jindirichuv Hradec. The Greenway trail of Prague to Vienna leads tourists through the dense forest of 'Czech Canada', running along a military way that was once built as the Curtain of Iron and is a gem of renaissance structural design.
The Greenway further takes you to the national reserve park Podyjí/Thayatal all together along with winding Dyje/Thaya River. This is the place of exquisite Moravian wine of the vineyard of Sobes. Greenway is considered to be the entrance of South Moravia that comes with its splendid countryside of picture perfect villages, wine and patent wine cellars structural design. The first halt is the regal town of Znojmo with a striking castle from where the Dyje River Valley is visible vividly. The trail proceeds to Hevline, adjacent to Australian border. Mikulov is the past pillar of the Dietrichstein family with its magnanimous castle and amazing views of the landscapes, a Jew cemetery and an old town. The trails running locally, allow tourists to discover and explore the surrounding hills of Palava.
Valtice town is the last stopover in the Czech Republic; it has a popular wine cellar and palace. A steep hike to the Rejstna Colonnade surprises the tourists with extraordinary scenic spots of the Lednice - Valtice gardens, monuments and parks. In Wolkersdorf, tourists can take the rail track of Drahtesel and Dampross, once functional to help regional farmers, now utilized as an interpreter of local historic heritage of railways.
